- You commit to at least 5 hours a week and can choose up to 20

3. English-to-Urdu Marketing Linguist: Pakistan
Welo Global is also seeking a senior Urdu (Pakistan) language expert, listed as remote worldwide and freelance. This is a senior role, not an entry point. It asks for:
- A bachelor's degree in linguistics, translation studies, language arts or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional translation, localisation or linguistic work
- At least 2 years as a language lead or senior linguist
- Native or near-native Pakistani Urdu and excellent English
If you qualify, prepare a short before-and-after sample using your own text: a literal translation of a headline, then a version that sounds natural to a Pakistani reader, with a line explaining why. Leave client material out unless you have permission.
4. QuickBooks Account Resolution Specialist: US
Foundever also lists a full-time, 40-hour remote role supporting accountants with QuickBooks, at $18 an hour. It requires QuickBooks experience and customer service experience, so it suits someone who has already done bookkeeping or invoicing for clients.
Remote Jobs for Beginners
None of the four above is a true first job, which is the honest picture of most remote work. Start by separating paid experience from proof that you can do the task. If you have answered delivery questions for a family business, describe what you checked, how you explained a delay, and what you did when you could not fix it, and label it as unpaid.
If you have nothing like that, make a small practice sample. For order support, write a reply to an imaginary customer whose parcel arrived with an item missing. For translation, translate a short product description and explain one wording choice. Mark each as a sample, and target vacancies where prior employment is optional.
Remote Jobs Salary Per Month
There is no single remote salary. Using the formula hourly rate × hours per week × 52 ÷ 12, before tax:
- $19 an hour, 40 hours a week: about $3,293 a month (US)
- $18 an hour, 40 hours a week: about $3,120 a month (US)
