Freshers can find call centre jobs in Karachi through customer service, inbound support, telesales and some chat support adverts, and eligibility depends on the campaign: employers assess communication, education, computer skills and shift availability. Some campaigns welcome beginners while others require customer-facing experience even when they mention fresh graduates. Choose roles that match your language skills and schedule, then check the fixed salary and the duties before you apply. This guide uses two employer adverts we checked on 26 October 2026 and official Pakistani sources, and it cannot promise a job, a wage or an interview.
Understand What the Job Involves
An inbound support agent answers customers who need information or help. An outbound agent contacts people for sales, appointment setting, surveys or follow-up. Chat and email support are written conversations with accurate records. Ask what product or service the campaign supports and whether the work includes selling: a customer service title does not mean there are no sales targets. Ask for a plain description of daily tasks, performance measures and training before you decide.
What a Real Karachi Advert Requires
ibex, one of the largest international call centre employers in Karachi, publishes its vacancies on its own careers site. Its Customer Success Specialist advert, open when we checked on 26 October 2026, is a voice programme for a US-based client's customers. Its qualifications are "O Levels/Matric or above", excellent English written and verbal communication, an "American or neutral accent", proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel and Word), and being at least 18 with a valid CNIC. It lists no minimum experience, and says the company cares more about personality, passion and work ethic than international experience.
Treat those as the requirements of that advert, not of every Karachi call centre. Read the latest description, clarify unclear expectations, and never claim a qualification, language level or work history you cannot demonstrate. Careers site: ibex careers.
Separate Fresher Roles From Experience-Based Vacancies
A fresh graduate may already have retail, administrative or customer service experience, so wording that welcomes graduates does not mean someone with no experience qualifies. ibex's Chat Support Specialist (E-Commerce) advert for Karachi, checked the same day, asks for minimum Intermediate, English, advanced Excel and "6 months of proven experience in a customer-facing role", and handles a high volume of inbound chats and emails across CRM and order management systems. It is not a no-experience opening. Use that distinction when you search, and prioritise adverts that accept beginners. Relevant volunteering or college responsibilities strengthen an application when described accurately, not presented as paid employment.
Match the Campaign to Your Language Skills
For international support, practise listening to different speaking styles, explaining information clearly and writing short professional messages. Understanding the customer matters more than a memorised introduction you cannot sustain. For Urdu or domestic campaigns, read the actual language requirements rather than assuming English is irrelevant, and ask whether written English is needed for internal records. In practice, repeat important details, ask useful clarifying questions and explain the next step without jargon or promises.
If your English needs work before you apply, DigiSkills.pk is a free online training programme in Pakistan. Its FAQ says there is no fee and no minimum educational requirement, that a trainee can take up to two courses in one batch, and that those who meet the completion criteria receive an e-certificate issued by the Virtual University of Pakistan. On 22 October 2026 its homepage announced that enrolment for Batch 05 of DigiSkills 3.0 opens on 2 November 2026 at 11:00 AM on a first-come, first-served basis. Check the current date on the site: DigiSkills.pk.
Clarify Shifts and Transport Before Joining
Confirm the exact shift, working days, break arrangements and whether schedules rotate. International support follows the customers' time zones, so evening or overnight work is common, but not every campaign has the same hours. Ask whether transport is provided, which areas it covers and whether any charge applies, and weigh the commute against study and household responsibilities. If you cannot attend a particular shift consistently, say so during recruitment.
Understand Fixed Salary and Incentives
Ask how much pay is guaranteed and how much depends on attendance, sales, quality scores or other targets; an advert's highest figure may include conditional incentives rather than starting fixed pay. Ask in writing about training pay, probation pay, deductions, payment dates and commission calculations, and compare offers on the guaranteed amount first. As an illustration only, a PKR 40,000 fixed salary plus possible incentives is a different offer from PKR 60,000 guaranteed each month. Those figures are a comparison, not verified Karachi salaries.
Prepare a Simple Fresher Resume
Include your education, contact details, location, languages, computer skills and realistic availability. Use genuine examples from coursework, events, volunteering or earlier work to show communication, reliability and attention to detail. If you helped register event participants, describe that without inventing customer service employment. Practise entering information while listening, writing a clear email and finding details in a document, and list software skills only at the level you can show in an assessment.
Practise Common Interview Questions
Prepare answers to "Why customer support?", "How would you handle an angry caller?" and "Can you work this schedule?". For an unhappy customer, explain that you would listen, clarify the problem, check the approved information and offer the available next step, escalating anything outside your authority rather than inventing a refund. Use a real example where you can; interviewers judge actions more easily than adjectives.
Ask About Training and Performance Expectations
Before accepting, ask how long training lasts, whether it is paid and how new agents get feedback. Clarify which targets apply during training and afterwards. For sales campaigns, ask how leads are obtained and what agents must tell customers, and understand the product before you agree to promote it. For support roles, ask how quality, resolution and attendance are assessed, and when to involve a supervisor.
Verify the Employer and the Offer
Check the company's website, office address and recruitment contact independently, and be cautious about any payment requested to guarantee selection. Do not share account passwords, banking codes or unnecessary documents through unverified messages. For public-sector posts, the Government of Pakistan National Job Portal carries the vacancy in its original wording with the real deadline. Keep a copy of the advert, ask for written duties, pay, location and joining instructions, and track your applications so you know which company is contacting you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply without experience?
Yes, when the vacancy accepts beginners. The ibex voice advert we checked listed no minimum experience; its chat advert required six months. Read each one, because graduate-friendly wording can still sit next to an experience requirement.
Is fluent English always necessary?
It depends on the campaign. International voice roles ask for strong English and sometimes a neutral accent; domestic and Urdu campaigns set their own standard.
What education do I need?
The ibex voice advert asked for O Levels or Matric and above; its chat advert asked for Intermediate. Other employers set their own minimum.
Are all call centre jobs night shifts?
No single schedule applies. International campaigns follow customers' time zones, so confirm the exact timings, rotation and transport before accepting.
Is chat support easier than calling?
It needs different skills: accurate typing, clear writing and handling several conversations at once, and some chat roles require previous experience.
How much do call centre jobs in Karachi pay?
We found no official average, so compare offers on the guaranteed fixed amount and treat incentive figures as conditional.
Is there free training for call centre skills?
DigiSkills.pk offers free online courses with no minimum educational requirement; Batch 05 enrolment was announced for 2 November 2026. Employers still set their own tests.
Should I pay a consultant to get selected?
No. Apply through the employer's careers site or the National Job Portal, and treat any payment request as a warning sign.
