Laboratory Scientist, CSL Behring and CSL Seqirus, Australia

CSL hires laboratory and scientific staff across its Australian operations for quality control testing, laboratory quality and compliance, upstream process development, clinical science and validation, under the CSL Behring and CSL Seqirus businesses.

What the work involves

GMP assay testing and LIMS record keeping, instrument qualification and calibration, laboratory quality systems and inspection readiness under GLP, GCLP and ISO/IEC 17025, cell culture and bioreactor scale-up, and clinical science supporting vaccine and biotherapy development.

Common requirements

• A relevant science degree; senior roles often ask for an MSc, MEng or PhD
• Laboratory technique, accurate documentation and comfort inside a regulated, audited process
• Availability for the shift pattern in the posting; some quality control roles run rotating day, afternoon and night shifts including weekends
• Australian work rights, or an occupation that can be sponsored under the Core Skills Occupation List
