Overseas Job Offer Check — Verify a UK Employer Before You Pay
Job Description
The UK Government publishes the Register of Licensed Sponsors: the list of employers that are allowed to sponsor skilled workers. If a UK job offer says it comes with sponsorship, check that the employer is on this register before you reply.
Requirements
- A sponsor must be on the register, and it still cannot sponsor a role that is not eligible
- No employer or recruiter can guarantee a visa, and no sponsor should charge you for a Certificate of Sponsorship
- Never send money, passport scans or bank details until you have verified the employer yourself
