Cleaner — London (No Experience Needed)

Cleaning contractors and agencies across London hire year-round for office, hotel, retail, school, hospital and domestic cleaning. Most entry-level roles need no prior experience — training is given on the job — and many agencies can place you within the same week.

Roles typically covered

• Office and commercial cleaning — early morning or evening shifts
• Hotel housekeeping — room turnover, laundry, public areas
• School and hospital cleaning — enhanced DBS check required
• Domestic and end-of-tenancy cleaning through an agency
• Airbnb and short-let turnovers, paid per clean

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK — cleaning roles sit below the Skilled Worker visa skill threshold and cannot be sponsored
• No formal qualifications or prior cleaning experience needed for most entry-level roles
• Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
• A reference — a previous employer, landlord, or anyone who can vouch for you
• Enhanced DBS check for school and hospital contracts; a basic check for most other roles

What's on offer

• At least the National Living Wage of £12.71 an hour for workers aged 21 or over, up to around £16; Living Wage employers pay the London Living Wage of £14.80
• At least £24,784.50 a year for a full-time 37.5-hour week at 21 or over
• Flexible shift patterns — part-time 2–4 hour slots, nights, or weekend-only work
• On-the-job training and induction with the larger facilities contractors

Note: pay, hours and contracts are set by the individual employer or agency — not by JobGader. Standard cleaning roles are not eligible for UK visa sponsorship, so be cautious of anyone claiming otherwise, and never pay a fee for a job offer.
